Topic: Maintain Your Saltiness (a)
There are Christians who patiently suffer for Christ without quitting (Revelation 2:3). Those who quit any race, fight or competition never win. Paul says, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 TLB). Waal! This is great! Paul did not say that our God protects us from all forms of trouble. Thus, when we are pressed on every side by problems; we know that we will never be crushed and broken. When we are troubled in our hearts because of the state of affairs; maybe our accounts not balancing despite the exercising of our faith, we don’t give up and quit. We don’t abandon the Vision the Lord placed in our heats just because we have run into some problems; No! A thousand times No! Even when we get knocked down; we get up, dust ourselves and run with the Vision again! We don’t quit! We fight the good fight of faith! We refuse to be discouraged. This is the reason we always attend church meetings. As we do; we receive the ammunition to fight with; for faith comes only through hearing God’ Word (Romans 10:17).
